Last week Gozo Business Chamber representatives intervened during an MCESD council meeting called by the Gozo Regional Committee (GRC). The MCESD social partners and GRC members discussed current concerns and suggested strategies to shape a future for Gozo that balances socio-economic growth with environmental sustainability. The meeting was chaired by MCESD’s Chairperson, Perit David Xuereb, and attended by the Minister for Gozo and Planning, Hon. Clint Camilleri, as well as the Parliamentary Secretary for Social Dialogue, Hon. Andy Ellul. Professor Alex Torpiano delivered the main presentation.

In his introductory intervention Joseph Borg, Chairperson of the Gozo Regional Committee highlighted the importance of sustainability and the need to take urgent action. Daniel Borg, on behalf of the GRC, delivered a presentation on the policy developments undertaken in Gozo. Michael Galea, and Perit Edward Scerri, intervened during the round table discussion.
