The Gozo Business Chamber, in collaboration with Bank of Valletta, is organising a high-level business event entitled “Gozo’s Economy: The Context and Future Direction”, which will take place on Tuesday, 12th May 2026, from 08:30 to 13:00 hrs at Villa Fiorita, Żebbuġ, Gozo (limits of Marsalforn).
As Malta’s sister island, Gozo shares many of the country’s economic characteristics while retaining distinct features that influence its development path. In an increasingly complex and uncertain global environment, this event provides a timely opportunity to assess Gozo’s economic performance, examine emerging challenges, and explore the opportunities that can shape its future trajectory.
Despite external pressures, Gozo has demonstrated notable resilience. However, important questions remain: what are the key drivers behind this performance, and which structural challenges must be addressed to ensure long-term sustainability and competitiveness?
