Michael Galea, Vice President of INSULEUR (the Insular Chambers of Commerce and Industry of the European Union) and the Chamber represented INSULEUR during the European Parliament of Enterprises held on the 14th November 2023. This year’s edition of the European Parliament of Enterpises, discussed the themes of skills, energy prices and European enterprises’ competitiveness. Michael Galea also had the opportunity to provide his input on the issue of skills during a Vox Pop held by Eurochambres. The European Parliament of Enterprises is an annual event organised by Eurochambres, providing an opportunity for entrepreneurs around Europe to voice their concerns and discussion issues which are important for businesses all around Europe.
On the 15th November Michael Galea also participated in the Eurochambres General Assembly. During the assembly Mr. Vladimír Dlouhý was re-elected as President of Eurochambres during the General Assembly of the association of European chambers of commerce and industry. Mr Dlouhý, head of delegation to Eurochambres for the Czech Chamber of Commerce, will continue as President for the 2024-2025 term. Vladimir Dlouhý took over the role of President following the resignation of Luc Frieden in March 2023, having previously been a Deputy-President of Eurochambres since 2020. During the Assembly the Eurochambres manifesto for the upcoming European elections was also discussed.
