Joseph Borg, President of the Gozo Business Chamber and INSULEUR (the Insular Chambers of Commerce and Industry of the European Union), participated on behalf of INSULEUR at the 1st Annual Assembly of the Blue Growth Community in Montpellier (France). The Blue Growth Community is focused on the implementation of a sustainable blue economy in the Mediterranean by strengthening its links with multi-level key actors of the blue economy through the identification of common challenges and opportunities.
INSULEUR is the association that gathers together the business chambers of the islands of Europe. INSULEUR is an associate member of Blue Growth because the principles enshrined are of interest to businesses especially those operating on islands. INSULEUR offers the right platform for the implementation of the theories pronounced by the programme. INSULEUR also believes that blue growth cannot be implemented in isolation but needs to move forward in sync with other ecological initiatives leading to a comprehensive circular economy.
