The Gozo Business Chamber, in collaboration with the Gozo Regional Development Authority, Aġenzija Żgħażagħ, Bank of Valletta, JA Malta Foundation, and EUROPE DIRECT Gozo, proudly presents the sixth edition of the Youth 4 Entrepreneurship Gozo event. This exciting contest is part of the SME Week activities and is dedicated to empowering young entrepreneurs with visionary ideas that can transform Gozo.

Theme: Waste Hackers
This year, we are challenging young minds to tackle one of Gozo’s most pressing issues – waste reduction. Under the theme “Waste Hackers,” we invite you to present groundbreaking business ideas that contribute to a cleaner, greener, and more sustainable Gozo. Your innovative solutions can address waste management, recycling, and resource efficiency, promoting a circular economy that benefits both the environment and our local community.
What We’re Looking For:
Your idea should be:
– Relevant to Gozo: Focus on the island’s unique challenges and potential.
– Financially Sustainable:Ensure your project can stand the test of time.
– Innovative and Sustainable: Bring new, eco-friendly solutions to the table.
– Problem-Solving: Address specific needs or issues in waste management.
– Well-Presented: Deliver your pitch with clarity and confidence.
Who Can Apply?
We welcome applications from individuals or teams aged 16 to 35 residing in the Maltese islands. The focus of your idea must be on Gozo. Whether you’re a past participant or new to the contest, we encourage you to bring your fresh, impactful ideas to the table.
How to Apply:
– Deadline for Submissions: Friday, 18 October 2024
– Submission Format:Proposals should be in PDF format and not exceed 500 words.
– Presentation: A 10-minute, 10-slide pitch during the event on 15 November 2024.

Prizes:
– 1st Prize: 500 euros
– 2nd Prize: 200 euros
– 3rd Prize: 100 euros
Coaching Sessions:
To help you refine your ideas and presentation skills, Aġenzija Żgħażagħ will conduct coaching sessions covering essential aspects such as structured planning, pitching, writing proposals, and financial planning. The coaching sessions are being planned for Saturday 24th, and Saturday 31st August.
