The Gozo Business Chamber held its Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Thursday 27th February at the Queen Mary University of London Malta Campus in Victoria, Gozo.

In his introduction the Chief Executive Officer of the Gozo Business Chamber, Daniel Borg outlined the importance of Gozitan stakeholders having a common vision for the island.  This year the annual general meeting of the organisation saw also the election of 11 members on the Council of the same organisation.

Minister for Gozo, Hon. Clint Camilleri was also present for the AGM.  In his speech he highlighted the priorities for this legislature in terms of projects and initiatives that need to be undertaken.

Joseph Borg, President of the Gozo Business Chamber, in his concluding address reiterated the importance of the sub-sea tunnel project between Gozo and Malta, and the new challenges facing business in Gozo.  He also commented that the Chamber is adamant to transform these challenges into opportunities.

During the AGM presentations were delivered from Ms Michelle Lockwood (Business Development Manager – Queen Mary University of London – Malta) and Gianni Chianetta (Greening the Islands Foundation).
