On the second day the delegation attended the high level discussion and debate “After the European Parliament’s resolution on island regions: what’s next?” Speakers included among others Marie-Antoinette Maupertuis, Clint Camilleri, Younous Omarjee, Tonino Picula, Josianne Cutajar, and Ioannis Vardakastanis.
A meeting was also held with MEP Josianne Cutajar who is a member of the SEArica Intergroup (Intergroup for seas, rivers, islands, and coastal areas) within the European Parliament. The main topic for discussion was the promotion of island issues at an EU level, and the potential input of INSULEUR in discussions which are relevant for islands.
