On the 14th August H.E. Myriam Spiteri Debono visited the Gozo Business Chamber premises and held a meeting with representatives of the Council. The President of the Chamber Michael Galea, welcomed the President and expressed his sincere gratitude for accepting the invitation of the Chamber after representatives from the same Council had visited the President at her official residence.
The meeting was a fruitful one and included discussions on various topics of mutual interest such as the economic situation on the island, the resilience of Gozitan business people, sustainability, and the environment. Another important item on the agenda was the diversification of the Gozitan economy. The Chamber representatives highlighted also Gozo’s potential to establish economic niches, with high value added, in areas such as education and the digital sector.
At the end of the meeting the President of the Gozo Business Chamber, Michael Galea, presented Her Excellency with a photograph of Gozo by Daniel Cilia.
