On 28 November 2025, the Gozo Business Chamber (GBC) and the Australian Maltese Chamber of Commerce (AMCC) formalised a new collaborative relationship through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding in Victoria, Gozo. The agreement was signed by GBC President Michael Galea and Joseph Borg, National Vice-President of the AMCC.

The signing ceremony was also attended by His Excellency Matt Skelly, Australian High Commissioner to Malta.

This MoU follows several months of dialogue between the two organisations and marks an important step forward in strengthening bilateral cooperation. The agreement aims to facilitate business networking, information exchange, and collaborative initiatives between the Gozitan and Australian Maltese business communities.

High Commissioner Skelly highlighted the strong potential of this partnership, particularly in areas where Gozo can further diversify its economy. Both Chambers expressed their commitment to building on this new framework and exploring future opportunities for joint initiatives.

The Gozo Business Chamber looks forward to continued cooperation with the Australian Maltese Chamber of Commerce, fostering new links and supporting economic growth for the benefit of both business communities.
