The Gozo Business Chamber submitted its response to a Consultation document issued by The Gozo Regional Development Authority. First, the Chamber would like to highlight its overall agreement with the vision portrayed in the document and reiterates its belief that the establishment of the Gozo Regional Development Authority is an important step in giving Gozo its due place in the national policy agenda.
Creating productive employment and wealth while safeguarding the wealth and interests of future generations should be the main element of this strategy. As Gozo faces multiple challenges including that of diversifying the Gozitan economy, and the overdevelopment, which is currently happening in Gozo, this strategy should assist Gozo in continuing to move forward sustainably.
