Queen Mary University of London in Gozo continues to support with the efforts related to Covid-19
Queen Mary University of London’s medical school in Gozo has also been proactively supporting the ongoing efforts related to Covid-19. A call centre has been set up in the building to support the outpatients operations and its duties include contact tracing and outpatient appointments. The Gozo General Hospital administration is also now serving patients from the medical school and offices has been adapted to comply with the new rules and guidelines issued by the Superintendent of Public health.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, the school has been providing space for staff and other critical support functions, storage space for additional hospital supplies, administration offices, chemotherapy treatments for cancer patients and beds for vulnerable patient care. In addition, Queen Mary University of London facilities management staff remain in the building providing support to the Gozo General Hospital staff and teams.
