Michael Grech Financial Investment Services has recently launched their Green Policy with the aim of contributing to a sustainable environment.
On the 22nd of November during the European week for Waste Reduction (EWWR) the company officially inaugurated several actions to achieve its targets for the environment. In collaboration with WastServ, the local collaborator of the EWWR, and the Gozo Business Chamber, Michael Grech Financial has laid the foundations to act in favor of the environment and create awareness with each client and the community at large.
With the appointment of Mr. Amante Xerri to the role of Green Officer, the company is committing itself to reach its environmental targets in line with the Sustainable Development Goals set out by the United Nations.
“As one of the established business in Gozo and beyond, we as a company believe that we need to be at the forefront of change of mentality when it comes to protecting the environment” said David Grech, Michael Grech Financials’ managing director.
With a list of initiatives that focus on four main pillars; sustainable consumption of energy and water, commitment to green Purchasing, waste management and educational programs the company will continually improve its environmental management system.
“As a company we want to be proactive in our actions because we believe that the changes we committing ourselves to, can have a beneficial impact in our society” added Amante Xerri, Green Officer of the company.
This launch was also attended by the Gozo Business Chamber and WastServ Malta who support the company in this endeavor.
