The Gozo Business Chamber has published its Budget 2027: From Commitment to Implementation, setting out the Chamber’s priorities for Gozo at the start of the new legislature. The document calls for a shift from policy commitments towards clear implementation, supported by defined responsibilities, adequate resources and measurable outcomes.
The proposals focus on a stronger regional framework for Gozo, the expansion and futureproofing of Mġarr Harbour, the development of a Gozo Logistics Hub and the Rural Airfield, together with measures to strengthen innovation and enterprise, financial and professional services, skills and talent retention, and the competitiveness of existing businesses.
The Chamber stresses that these priorities should form part of a coherent, long-term and place-based development framework for Gozo, aimed at strengthening the island’s connectivity, broadening its economic base and creating the conditions for businesses, professionals and future generations to invest, work and build their future in Gozo.
