The Gozo Business Chamber took part in the INSULEUR (Network of the Insular Chambers of Commerce and Industry of the European Union) General Assembly and Workshop held in Brussels on 4 April 2025.
The delegation was led by Mr Joseph Borg, former President of INSULEUR and current Vice President of the Chamber. He was accompanied by Mr Michael Galea, President of the Chamber, and Mr Daniel Borg, CEO and member of the INSULEUR Technical Committee.
The General Assembly marked the end of Mr Borg’s term as President of INSULEUR, during which he was thanked for his leadership, particularly throughout the COVID-19 period. He will continue serving on the Board of Directors as Vice President.
The workshop focused on key issues affecting island economies, including climate change adaptation and EU cohesion policy. It featured contributions from representatives of the European Commission, regional governments, and academic institutions.
The Chamber remains committed to actively representing Gozo’s interests at the European level.
