On Wednesday, 9th October, the Gozo Business Chamber held an important meeting with the Leader of the Opposition, Dr. Bernard Grech. This meeting served as a key platform for discussing the Chamber’s vision for Gozo’s economic future and presenting a document entitled ‘Strategic and Economic Priorities for Gozo.’

The document outlines the Chamber’s budgetary proposals aimed at addressing the island’s unique challenges and opportunities. During the meeting, representatives of the Chamber and Dr. Grech engaged in a meaningful dialogue on several critical themes, including:

  • Accessibility: Enhancing Gozo’s connectivity with mainland Malta and beyond.
  • Fiscal Incentives: Proposing targeted measures to stimulate investment and support local businesses.
  • Long-term Strategic Vision: Setting out a roadmap for Gozo’s sustainable development, ensuring balanced economic growth while preserving the island’s distinct cultural and environmental identity.

This discussion was a crucial step towards securing the necessary policy support for Gozo’s sustainable economic growth. The Chamber remains committed to collaborating with key stakeholders to advocate for policies that will benefit Gozo’s businesses and its broader community.

We look forward to working together with all parties to realize these objectives and ensure a prosperous future for Gozo.
