On 9 January, the Gozo Business Chamber hosted its annual New Year’s Reception, welcoming its Corporate Members and key stakeholders for an evening of dialogue, reflection, and forward-looking engagement.
The reception was also attended by Hon Dr. Robert Abela, Prime Minister of Malta, and Dr Alex Borg, Leader of the Opposition, whose presence underscored the importance of constructive engagement with the business community of Gozo across the political spectrum.
During the event, Michael Galea, President of the Gozo Business Chamber, delivered an introductory intervention in which he outlined the Chamber’s main areas of focus for the year ahead. These include the critical issue of accessibility to and from Gozo, as well as the need to continue working towards the diversification of the Gozitan economy in order to strengthen its resilience and long-term sustainability.
In his address, the President also expressed the Chamber’s sincere appreciation to its partners and stakeholders for their continued collaboration and support, acknowledging their vital role in enabling the Chamber to fulfil its mission and represent the interests of Gozo-based enterprises.
The New Year’s Reception provided an opportunity to strengthen relationships within the Chamber’s business community and to reaffirm a shared commitment to advancing initiatives that support sustainable economic growth and prosperity for Gozo.
