The Youth4Entrepreneurship Gozo 2024 took place on November 15, 2024, at the Kempinski Hotel San Lawrenz. Organized by the Gozo Business Chamber, the event was supported by The Ministry for the Economy, Enterprise, and Strategic Projects; Bank of Valletta; The Gozo Regional Development Authority; the JA Malta Foundation; Europe Direct Gozo; and Aġenzija Żgħażagħ, which provided training and mentoring for the participants.

The event featured three innovative ideas focused on sustainability:

  1. Maria Catania with Gozo Green Exchange – A donation-based system for unwanted items, repaired or upcycled for resale, promoting reuse and reducing landfill waste.
  2. George Abela with Living in the Digital Era – A project raising awareness about electronic waste and proposing the establishment of a recycling facility to repurpose components for international trade.
  3. Ħaley Xuereb with Tiswija: The Repair Café – A hub offering repair services and workshops to promote a culture of sustainability and affordability.

The first prize was awarded to Ħaley Xuereb for her inspiring idea, Tiswija: The Repair Café, which combines environmental responsibility with community engagement.
