On Wednesday, 25 March 2026, the Gozo Business Chamber, in collaboration with RSM Malta, Ganado Advocates, and Bank of Valletta, organised an online webinar to support businesses in preparing for the upcoming EU Pay Transparency Directive compliance deadline.

By 7 June 2026, employers across the European Union will need to comply with new requirements aimed at strengthening pay transparency and equal pay for work of equal value. For many organisations, this will require a fundamental reassessment of existing pay structures, job evaluation processes, and internal policies.

Implementing compliant pay structures involves mapping the relative value each role contributes to the organisation through a structured job evaluation process. Any material discrepancies, outliers, or gender wage gaps must then be addressed appropriately. Failure to act may expose businesses to significant legal and financial risks, including retroactive pay claims. However, these risks can be mitigated through proactive preparation and informed decision-making.

During this webinar, experts from Ganado Advocates and RSM Malta provided businesses with a clear roadmap to compliance, highlighting the practical steps organisations should take now to meet the directive’s requirements before the June deadline.
