KPMG in Malta, in collaboration with the Gozo Business Chamber, organised an information session entitled “EU Funding and Domestic Incentives for Gozitan Businesses” on Monday, 13 July 2026, at the Kempinski Hotel San Lawrenz, Gozo.

The event brought together members of the Gozitan business community to explore the funding opportunities and domestic incentives currently available to support business investment, growth and development.

The session provided participants with practical guidance on the key terminology linked to EU funding, followed by a detailed overview of EU funding grants. Particular attention was also given to digitalisation and artificial intelligence, and how these areas are becoming increasingly relevant for businesses seeking to improve efficiency, competitiveness and long-term resilience.

Participants were also provided with an overview of domestic incentive schemes, together with practical insights on how such support mechanisms can be understood and accessed by businesses operating in Gozo. The programme included an open-floor discussion and Q&A session, allowing participants to raise questions and engage directly with the speakers on issues relevant to their own business plans.

The Gozo Business Chamber was represented by its President, Michael Galea, and Chief Executive Officer, Daniel Borg, who both highlighted the importance of ensuring that businesses in Gozo are kept informed of available opportunities and supported in understanding how these may be applied in practice.

The Chamber underlined that access to clear, timely and practical information is particularly important for micro, small and medium-sized enterprises, which form the backbone of Gozo’s economy. Funding opportunities and incentive schemes can support enterprises in areas such as digitalisation, equipment, skills development, professional support and wider business transformation.

The Gozo Business Chamber thanks KPMG in Malta for its collaboration and for bringing this initiative to Gozo. The Chamber also thanks all participants who attended and contributed to the discussion.
